WHO WE ARE
Our Mission Statement
At Iron Paw Rescue, our mission is simple: to save the lives of as many German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois who find themselves at risk of euthanasia, as we can. These intelligent, loyal, and often misunderstood working breeds are frequently overlooked in shelters, leaving too many red-listed with little time or hope. With the help of not only our rescue partners Utah Rescue Dogs and Jack's Dog Haven, along with our awesome network of volunteers and networkers, we exist to change that outcome.
Although Iron Paw Rescue officially became established in 2023, our journey began long before then. Since early 2010, we have been actively rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. Over the years, we have witnessed the incredible resilience of these dogs and the life-changing joy they bring to the families who adopt them.
Our commitment is not only to rescue, but to provide each dog with the care, training, and healing they need to thrive. By focusing on breeds so often discarded, we aim to give them a second chance at life and love. Every dog we save represents more than a rescue—it’s the restoration of hope, trust, and dignity.
At Iron Paw Rescue, we believe that every life matters. We stand as advocates for those without a voice, and we will continue to fight tirelessly until every one of these dogs facing euthanasia is given that second chance they deserve, to find their forever home.
Lastly, what is the affiliation with Wounded Hearts? That is a future project of ours that will be geared towards our veterans, along with a potential inmate program for rehabilitation.
Sincerely,
Mark Primasing & Naomi Arana

Mark Primasing
From the beginning, Mark had a love for animals and it wasn't limited to just dogs... it was for birds, reptiles, and even wildlife! Growing up, he was lucky to experience having or interacting with all of the above, and took it to the next level with animal rescue as he got older.
Although he primarily works in construction, he still manages to carve out that little extra time to spearhead rescue missions and do what's necessary, when it matters the most. Whether it's last minute transport, securing a dog from an undesirable situation, or helping another friend/colleague in the industry, Mark has shown that he will do whatever it takes to get an animal to safety, even if it's putting his own life on the line.
With whatever free time Mark may have, he enjoys tormenting his better half with his wonderful taste of music and his love for Slipknot, getting range time in, and most importantly, spending quality time with his 5'3 ish partner in crime, Naomi!
Naomi Arana
Naomi and her family started rescuing dogs in their early child hood days, in the motherland. Her family grew up with dogs and it wasn't until she got her own Shepherd named Blue, that she realized how precious these dogs were and the crisis that exists here with this breed. Naomi and her friend Lauren started a networking page on Instagram, and gained a massive following with their devotion to networking dogs out of Devore Animal Shelter.
While putting up with Mark's shenanigans, going to school full time, along with the help of her two amazing boys, they have made quite the team in saving so many dogs, who would've never gotten a second chance.
Please give their page ( savingdevoredogs ) a follow, and help our local dogs get seen and hopefully saved!
